Our People Care
WE ENVISION A WORLD WITH PERFECT SIGHT
Every member of the OPSM family cares deeply about eyes, our most precious natural assets because we believe everyone deserves to see the world regardless of circumstance.
We have the support of over 700 OPSM optometrists and 4,500 volunteers who generously donate their time. It’s through our employees that we are able to run OneSight vision clinics in all Australian states and having commenced in New Zealand in the past year we hope to be able to do the same.

MEET BARRY FROM HORNSBY
OneSight has had a huge impact on me since becoming an OPSM optometrist. I have attended local clinics and was fortunate to attend an Indigenous clinic on Palm Island. This has been a career highlight, with an opportunity to have an impact on so many lives.
“At OPSM we believe in quality eye care for all, not just those who can afford it. We are incredibly proud of our work with OneSight and our optometrists who continue to volunteer their time to improving sight amongst those in need,”
-Anthea Muir, President OPSM Australia and New Zealand
SAY HELLO TO SHARON FROM GEORGE ST
With OPSM I have become passionate about providing eyecare to those who may find it difficult to access. It is exciting to be able to work for a company that has a strong sense of social justice in eyecare and encourages its employees to be involved in volunteering. I have been a local clinic leader, helping to coordinate and run vision screenings in schools in low socio-economic areas in Sydney. I have also done vision testing in clinics for children and adults in Mount Isa and the Indigenous community on Palm Island in Queensland. In September I will travel to Rwanda, Africa with a small, global OneSight team to help train local health care workers in vision testing. OneSight has established the first (of hopefully many) long-term, sustainable Vision Centre in Rwanda.
GET TO KNOW BLANDINE FROM GARDEN CITY
Being part of OPSM gives me the opportunity to do work with OneSight and give back to my community. I love that it’s not just about the glasses, it’s about giving back. I am proud to have been one of the first Optometrists to volunteer on a vision clinic to Mt Isa. It’s particularly amazing to see the positive difference eyecare can have on a child.
