Alice Springs
To Uluru

Road trip recommendation #2

Uluru, or Ayers Rock, a must visit at any stage in life.

Kane Vato says:

“Whilst the big cities are great, I really like to visit the “real” places when I visit a country. Uluru is a sacred and almost untouched place. When I think of Australia from my childhood, the huge monolith in the middle of the open red land is what comes to mind. The way the sunlight hits it both at sunrise and sunset is just incredible. Well worth an early adventure to see it in all its glory and the drive is unforgettable.”

Gold Coast
To Cairns

Road trip recommendation #3

For a breathtaking view at every turn, Kane recommends Gold Coast to Cairns.

Kane Vato says:

“Head north up the Electric Super Highway, the scenery is out of this world. Of course, you’ll stop and take a trip out to see the Great Barrier Reef, how could you not? There are so many little towns to stop off in along the way too.”

Queenstown
To Glenorchy

Road trip recommendation #4

A memorizing journey, The Road to Glenorchy from Queenstown is an unmissable adventure for any local or traveller from afar.

Kane Vato says:

“We love Queenstown, we’ve been 3 times in the last 2 years. Imagine rolling green hills, with snow-capped mountains, it’s incredible. For the skiers and snowboarders, if you can, helicopter to the top of the mountains for epic snowmobiling adventures. Plus, Glenorchy is where they filmed Lord of the Rings and the place looks exactly like the Shire!”

Heritage
Highway

Road trip recommendation #5

A bucket list on Kane’s list, Heritage Highway between Launceston and Hobart.

Kane Vato says:

Kane Vato says: “You can follow the original route between Launceston and Hobart, built by convict road gangs in the early 1800s. There is a 10 day road trip from Hobart (and returning to Hobart) that I’ve always wanted to explore. You travel clockwise through some of the most scenic spots, including Freycinet, Cradle Mountain, and Mount Field National Park. The photo opportunities look epic!”
